Abstract The aerodynamic performance of high-speed trains passing each other was investigated on a simply supported box girder bridge, with span 32 m, under crosswinds. bridge and train models, modeled at geometric scale ratio 1:30, were used to test the forces train, help designed moving rig in XNJD-3 wind tunnel. effects speed, yaw angle coefficients analyzed. static model tests compared demonstrate how movement influences its characteristics. results show that sheltering effect introduced by can cause sudden change force leeward which is further influenced running speeds. Detailed analyses related speeds conducted. relationship between finally described series proposed fitting formulas.
